Travel Plans Include Laying in The Sun? Try Olay Moisturizers with SolaSheer Technology

Summer is almost upon us and I couldn’t be happier! I just knew if I continued to wish upon a star, the summer gods would hear my prayer. We all know with warmer weather comes skin-damaging sun rays. Since I know all of you are in the middle of planning your summer vacations on the beach, I want to remind you to take care of your skin. People put all that work into losing weight to fit into their bikini yet leave there skin susceptible to harsh summer rays. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been playing around with Olay Moisturizers with SolaSheer Technology. I’ve been applying Olay Moisturizer to my  skin every morning and it has done wonders for my skin and it’s elasticity. Since 80% of UV exposure is a result of incidental sun exposure, like walking to work or driving in your car, it is important to incorporate SPF into your daily routine. This season, Olay arms you with the tools you need to make that task easier than ever. A number of Olay’s daily moisturizers with SPF are now formulated with SolaSheer Technology, which combines broad spectrum SPF protection with proven moisturizing agents. The result is nourished, moisturized skin, protected against harmful UVA/UVB rays. Olay Moisturizers with SolaSheer Technology: ·         Total Effects Daily Moisturizer + SPF 30 (NEW) ·         Total Effects Daily Moisturizer + SPF 15 with SolaSheer Technology ·         Complete All Day Moisturizer SPF 15 with SolaSheer Technology The best thing you can do for your skin is to protect it, I’ve been applying Olay  Moisturizer with Sunscreen to my skin daily. In 2 weeks, I’ve noticed my skin isn’t as dry, and dull. I also love how my tone is starting to even back out from the harsh winter weather we experienced here in Chicago. Whether you are heading to a beach resort or just plan on soaking up so rays make sure you protect your...

Ways To Incorporate Cocunut Oil into Your Travel Routine

I must admit, now that using coconut oil has become all the rage, I had to see what all the fuss was about. I’ve heard coconut oil is good for everything from cooking to using it on your hair and skin.  So, I decided to start incorporating its many uses into my daily routine.  While I won’t say I’ve mastered all of its uses, I am loving the results so far. So, I got to thinking how can I incorporate coconut oil into my travel routine. Most coconut oils are sold in glass jars but there are some that also come in plastic containers. If you plan on traveling with coconut oil, I suggest getting the oil that comes in the plastic container so  you don’t have to worry about the glass breaking while in route.   Coconut oil solidifies in cool temperatures and melts in warmer temperatures so be careful when transporting coconut oil. I would hate for you to arrive at your destination to find oil all over your wardrobe.  Even if the container is brand new, I suggest putting the oil in an air-tight container and placing the oil inside of 2 Ziploc bags. Now that  you’ve arrived at your destination here are a few ways to incorporate coconut oil into your travel routine: Hair-If your hair is extremely dry from swimming at the beach or the pool apply coconut oil to your wet hair,  let it sit for about 30 minutes under a shampoo cap, rinse out and shampoo as usual. Also, if  you notice your hair becoming  frizzy apply a dime size amount of oil to your hair, you will notice the difference immediately. Moisturizer-Coconut oil is a great moisturizer for your body and feet so if  you are dealing with dry skin coconut oil is your cure. It’s will have your skin glowing. Lip Balm-Great at combating dry lips all you need is a little and your can go on your way. Makeup Remover-Yes, coconut oil is the perfect makeup remover for your face and eye area. Nails-If your cuticles are dry add a little coconut oil for the ultimate relief. So now you have multiple ways to incorporate the use of coconut oil into your travel routine. The great thing about using coconut is that is has multiple uses so that means  you can travel with less beauty products. I purchase my organic coconut oil from Trader’s Joes! I’ve tried multiple oils but this is by far my...

Do you remember the last time you dropped  your phone or table? Do you remember the sheer horror you felt waiting to see if you cracked the screen? I’ve had this happen to me on more than one occasion, it’s truly one of the worst feelings ever. Although I hate to admit it, I’ve broken a cellphone or two in my day!  You would think it would only take one time with me but some times it takes more. It’s very easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle when traveling so it’s very important that you protect your devices the next time you hit the road. Travel Treks: The 2014 Kia Soul+

Travel Treks: The 2014 Kia Soul+

Whilst in Atlanta, Georgia a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of driving the 2014 Kia Soul+ When in a new city, it is always fun when you are able to go out on your own and see the sights without having to rely on a cab. The Kia Soul+ was the perfect vehicle to take in the sights and sounds of Atlanta while making a pretty fab statement. This four-door hatchback is like driving around in your living room. It is made to seat everyone comfortably while giving you some of the pleasures of home. Heated and cooled seats, Infinity speakers (that light up according to the mood or the music playing), plugs for your smartphones and devices in the front and rear of the car, panoramic sunroof, and so much more. It packs a lot in it, and yet it’s affordable too. Last year, Raijean and I drove the 2013 Kia Soul which was also well-appointed, but the 2014 Kia Soul+ takes the cake. There isn’t much not to love about the car. The only thing I found as a negative was a lack of trunk space. The backseats do fold down, though, to give you more room if needed. As with all Kia’s, the 2014 Kia Soul+ comes with the UVO Infotainment System that allows you to be “plugged-in” to the Internet digitally while driving. I would definitely recommend this car as a perfect vehicle to drive around a new city and explore. For a full review, photos, and specs of the 2014 Kia Soul+, click here to read on The Cubicle Chick. Gotta love a car with some soul! 🙂 Disclosure: This vehicle was loaned to me in exchange for my social influence and honest review. The opinions expressed belong to me and are not indicative of the companies or brands...
