Hotel Review: 21 C Museum Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio

A few weeks ago, I headed to Cincinnati, Ohio for the Love the Pet, Not the Mess conference with P& G and I had a ball! During our visit we stayed at the gorgeous 21 C Museum Hotel and I loved every minute of it. As soon as guests arrived, we were greeted at the door by the hotel staff. This hotel is unlike other hotels in the traditional sense of the word. You check-in at a table instead of some grand lobby and the staff was so friendly and welcoming.  After checking in I headed up to my room to rest for a few moments and start the day. As soon as I arrived in my room, P&G had the cutest bag waiting for me, my dog loved all of his new goodies. After checking out the room, I went to check out the bathroom. To me the bathroom was the best feature in the room, it’s the kind of bathroom you wish you had a home. Upon walking into my room, I noticed the staff had left a ducky in my room for me… And if that wasn’t cute, the tile was perhaps the most unique tile I’ve ever seen. Each bathroom contained body part tiles. Don’t judge me but I thought this was the coolest thing ever.  Guests receive free wi-fi as well as free water, coffee and tea. You definitely get more bang for your buck at this hotel. Not only is this hotel a great place to stay but it’s also a fun place to stay. They had these cute penguins throughout the entire hotel, as you can see I had 2 guarding my door while I was there. Overall, I had a great time at 21 C Museum Hotel, the staff was great and the the hotel was modern and clean. This is definitely my go to hotel when in...

Restaurant Review: Ocean Prime Atlanta Georgia

It’s amazing to me  how big a role social media plays in all of our lives. Some people that I follow on Instagram were constantly raving about the restaurant Ocean Prime, so I knew that I had to go there the next time I was in Atlanta. Well as luck would have it, this past weekend I was in Atlanta for a conference so my girls and I headed to dinner at Ocean Prime. As soon as I arrived I could tell from the ambiance that the food was going to be good. I don’t know if it’s the foodie in me but I can tell when the food is going to be amazing and boy was I right. We started our dining experience with the Berries & Bubbles Cocktail, check out that experience below… Believe me when I tell you the drink tasted as good as it looked!! I’m addicted! After going over the menu, I knew I had to try the Colossal Shrimp Sautee’ in Tabasco Cream Sauce, when I tell  you guys this appetizer was so good, I almost shed a tear. No, I’m serious, ask Danyelle! If you don’t try anything else in this restaurant you must try these shrimp, I swear they are magical. You know I’m all about seafood, so of course I ordered the twin lobster tails! Once again the food was amazing!! This is the point where I started rocking back and forth humming because the food was so good.My friend Janice ordered the scallops with parmesan risotto, when I tasted it I almost fell out of my chair! I was starting to wonder if this restaurant could do any wrong. If the main dishes didn’t get you then the sides would. We ordered a side of truffle mac and cheese and a loaded baked potato. Once again, Ocean Prime could do no wrong. I know I keep using the same words to describe the food but I promise there’s no other way to describe just how great everything was. Overall, I give Ocean Prime a 5 out of 5 stars! The food was amazing, the ambiance was a amazing and the cocktails were amazing. This restaurant could truly do no wrong in my eyes. I wish we had one here in Chicago but until then, I will visit Ocean Prime the next time there is one near...

The Top Honeymoon Destinations According to Pinterest

Pinterest is a visual social medium that allows for you to create your own inspirational and “vision” boards for whatever your pleasure. In the travel space, there are hundreds of thousands of Pinterest board dedicated to exotic locations and dreamy locales. Yahoo Travel recently scoured the IN social network for the top honeymoon destinations, and came up with an impressive list of must-visit places after you’ve tied the knot that have been pinned the most on Pinterest. Here’s the list: 1. Honolulu 2. Paris 3.Puerto Vallarta 4. San Francisco 5. Lisbon 6. St. Martin 7. Belize 8. Charleston/Savannah 9. Thailand 10. Ireland 11. Maine 12. Italy 13. Samoa 14. Namibia 15. Marseille This a diverse and well-appointed travel list of honeymoon destinations, if I say so myself. I love how today’s modern bride is spending more time on Pinterest gathering wedding details and inspiration, than on any other website. Goes to show you that being visual is the platform of now and what’s next. This list also shows me how time has evolved. When I first got married and had my honeymoon, we trekked to Las Vegas for five days of epicness. That was so long ago. Now it is used for more trips before the bride and groom actually get hitched than for anything else. We did have fun though. What is on your list of honeymoon destinations you’d like to take? Did any of your choices make Yahoo!’s list? You can read more of their list...
