Check Out the Samsung Galaxy Studio in SOHO

During a recent trip to New York, I wanted to check out some sights and scenes that I hadn’t previously uncovered whilst visiting. While walking with a friend from dinner in Little Italy, we came across the Samsung Galaxy Studio located in Soho. Being that I am an avid lover of technology and gadgets that can help improve out everyday life, I wanted to experience the the studio and see what it had to offer. Nestled on tre chic Prince Street between Broadway and Wooster (and almost across the street from the Soho Apple Store), the studio serves as a demonstration haven for all things Samsung Galaxy. You can try out the phones, wearables, and other technology. There’s also a cafe and an interactive play area for the kids. And each day, they have a free Samsung Galaxy Studio DIY craft you can make yourself with the assistance of the Galaxy Tablet. On the day I visited, I was able to make a personalized luggage tag. It was quite easy to do since I had the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on hand sent from Verizon. I was able to use the NFC on the device to send a photo from my phone to the tablet to make the luggage tag. I made a luggage tag while at the @Samsungtweets Samsung Galaxy Studio. Perfect for all of my travels 🙂 pic.twitter.com/iBWMaIa9Yw — Danyelle Little (@TheCubicleChick) November 16, 2014 The staff is wonderful and is able to answer all of your Samsung related questions. I love the vibe of the studio—it’s interactive, fun, trendy, and cool to hang out in. I really wish they had one in my area. We when we visited, it was about thirty minutes before they were due to close, so I didn’t get to see and do everything there was to partake in inside of the studio, but I do plan to go back when I am in New York City again. I had that much fun. It had a hip urban vibe and incredible energy. If you are ever in the Soho area while in New York, I urge you to visit the Samsung Galaxy Studio. Below are a few pictures from my...

Travel Accessories: Gumdrop and Hard Candy Cases are Perfect for Travel

Do you remember the last time you dropped  your phone or table? Do you remember the sheer horror you felt waiting to see if you cracked the screen? I’ve had this happen to me on more than one occasion, it’s truly one of the worst feelings ever. Although I hate to admit it, I’ve broken a cellphone or two in my day!  You would think it would only take one time with me but some times it takes more. It’s very easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle when traveling so it’s very important that you protect your devices the next time you hit the road. While at CES, I discovered protective cases from a company called Gumdrop. Not only do they provide a wide range of cases for your iPhone, smartphone or tablet but they also come in various styles and colors. When it comes to a rugged case the Drop Tech Case is perfect for a traveler’s lifestyle. This collection contains cases for the iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Nexus and more. Each case contains an opening for the mic, speaker and charging port so you have full protection. Each case also comes with a security screen, complete with a snug fit! I’m telling you this is a case that every traveler needs. If you are looking for something a little sleeker, I also received the Hard Candy Harvest Slider for my iPhone. I love this case because it allows  you to switch up  your phone case to fit your current mood. I’m all about choices, so I loved how this case allowed me to match whatever mood I’m in. No matter which case floats your boat, what’s most important is that your protect your devices. We spend so much money on our electronics that it would be silly to not spend a few extra dollars to protect your gadgets. Travel Treks: The 2014 Kia Soul+

Travel Treks: The 2014 Kia Soul+

Whilst in Atlanta, Georgia a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of driving the 2014 Kia Soul+ When in a new city, it is always fun when you are able to go out on your own and see the sights without having to rely on a cab. The Kia Soul+ was the perfect vehicle to take in the sights and sounds of Atlanta while making a pretty fab statement. This four-door hatchback is like driving around in your living room. It is made to seat everyone comfortably while giving you some of the pleasures of home. Heated and cooled seats, Infinity speakers (that light up according to the mood or the music playing), plugs for your smartphones and devices in the front and rear of the car, panoramic sunroof, and so much more. It packs a lot in it, and yet it’s affordable too. Last year, Raijean and I drove the 2013 Kia Soul which was also well-appointed, but the 2014 Kia Soul+ takes the cake. There isn’t much not to love about the car. The only thing I found as a negative was a lack of trunk space. The backseats do fold down, though, to give you more room if needed. As with all Kia’s, the 2014 Kia Soul+ comes with the UVO Infotainment System that allows you to be “plugged-in” to the Internet digitally while driving. I would definitely recommend this car as a perfect vehicle to drive around a new city and explore. For a full review, photos, and specs of the 2014 Kia Soul+, click here to read on The Cubicle Chick. Gotta love a car with some soul! 🙂 Disclosure: This vehicle was loaned to me in exchange for my social influence and honest review. The opinions expressed belong to me and are not indicative of the companies or brands...

Travel Tech News: AT&T Working to Build In-Flight 4G LTE Service

If you are a frequent flier and use wifi on planes services like Gogo, etc., you may know how painful it can be to use. Oftentimes, these types of services time out or go super slow, which can handicap your ability to get some work done while you are up in the air. Currently, there aren’t many options for in-flight wifi, but AT&T is working to change that with the announcement of their 4G LTE service that is specially designed for in-flight usage. It is being touted as an “4G LTE-based air-to-ground service to transform connectivity for the U.S. aviation industry and its passengers”. Per the press release: DALLAS, TEXAS, April 28, 2014 — AT&T* today announced plans to launch a high-speed 4G LTE-based in-flight connectivity service for airlines and passengers in commercial, business and general aviation. The service, planned to be available as soon as late 2015, will be capable of providing in-flight broadband for customers including fast, reliable Wi-Fi and onboard entertainment. Following launch, aviation customers can also expect improved connectivity solutions such as cockpit communications, maintenance operations and crew services. To deliver this new service, AT&T plans to build an innovative air-to-ground network in the continental United States, based on global 4G LTE standards, to provide fast speeds and efficient utilization of spectrum already owned by AT&T. As the architect and operator of the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network**, AT&T has the expertise, spectrum and financial strength to transform airborne connectivity. This is indeed great news for travelers who want a steadier, more reliable connection while flying. In-flight broadband is a game changer for sure. Imagine being able to stream movies and other entertainment options while in the sky (currently with Gogo, you cannot stream certain services while in flight). This service won’t be available until late 2015, and it will be interesting to see what airlines AT&T partners with. Having something like this available on one carrier could make that a top choice for business flyers for sure, since many of them use in-flight wifi. Good going, AT&T. I will be bringing you more news about this new service as I get...
